Concept 2 Hire
Concept 2 Hire is an excellent way to get fit in the comfort of your own home. The Concept 2 rowing machine can be used by beginners or professional athletes as they are straight forward to use with varied adjustments, they are a great way to improve or even maintain your cardio-vascular fitness level from as little as £16 a week.
If you decided to hire a rowing machine from us you will quickly learn that the Concept 2 Rower simulates the action of being on a real rowing boat, where most of the key muscle groups are worked during this type of exercise.
Rowing is particularly great for toning and strengthening your thighs, bottom and biceps, often referred to as strength endurance exercise and is an intense calorie burning form of exercise, which makes it a great choice if you’re embarking on a weight loss programme.
There are different models available including ones that fold in half for storage purposes so they’re perfect for the use in your home when space is limited.
How to Use a Rowing Machine
Using the rowing machine if you’re a beginner: sit on the seat, strap your feet in the foot pedals (tight but comfortable), take hold of the handlebars with your palms facing downwards, keeping your wrists flat, extend your arms out in front of you towards the flywheel then slide forward in the seat until your lower legs are completely vertical.
Push off against the foot pedals, extending your legs keeping your arms straight with your back firm, as your legs straighten, slowly bend your arms whilst leaning back from the seat, finishing this part with a very slight backwards lean.
Bend your elbows and pull the handlebars in towards your stomach whilst extending your legs. Lean back slightly.
Maintain a smooth action with both your arms and your legs; try not to lean too far back or far forward during each stage of the row.
