Vibration plates were originally used by astronauts as after extensive research, those who did vibration training were able to remain in space for longer periods of time due to increased muscle strength and overall stamina and body strength.  There has been a considerable amount of controversy over whether or not vibration plates work and lots of misconceptions about how to use them.  Some people believe that if you simply stand on a vibration plate, you’ll get fit.  Well that’s not the case.

How do vibration plates work?

The vibrations in vibration plates work by contracting the muscles in your body much more quickly than you could possibly achieve in a normal workout.  Because your muscles work much harder when exercising on a vibration plate, a full body workout can be achieved in just 15 minutes.  You can do all the normal exercises on the vibration plate that you would do on a floor mat such as sit-ups, squats, push-ups and so on.  Here are some intermediate exercises that you can perform on your vibration plate:



What other health benefits do vibration plates offer?

There has been a considerable amount of research into what health benefits can be achieved through vibration training; the research has proven there to be endless health benefits, other than just weight loss and toning.  Vibration training helps reduce cellulite, strengthen muscles, increases bone density, improves metabolic rates and also increases circulation to name just a few.

Who can use a vibration plate?

Vibration plates are great for any level of fitness from beginners right up to advanced users and for any age group and ability.  Obviously before embarking on any new exercise regime, it’s best to conslt your Doctor first.
